A Cloudy Afternoon Sky

I just opened the window to a beautiful blue sky with lots of fluffy clouds floating about …

But wait!  How can one be so sure that the above picture was indeed taken in the U.A.E. where the sky eternally remains a lifeless gray?   Here’s the proof …

You just can’t miss the crane!

Indeed .. who can miss the cranes!
In fact it is being ridiculed now that if one asks “What is the national bird of UAE” ?
It is answered as “CRANE” ! 🙂

LOL … I’ve gotten so used to the cranes that when I’m a place where all building have been built ages ago and there’s no construction going on in sight, I feel there’s something missing 😀

Ah.. lovely clouds… whether must be lovely there this time of the year.

I remember reading somewhere that at the height of the boom 25% of the world’s cranes were in UAE… don’t know if that’s true though.

PS. I read that it snowed in Sharjah!

Oh, the weather is gorgeous! I think there still are that many cranes here in the U.A.E. except that not all of them are operating anymore.

Oh, that was the hailstorm that happened sometime late last year.

Vancouver is cloudy most days, so we dream of the days it’s clear and we can see the blue sky. You guys love the clouds! So funny
